University of Leicester Richard III Ceremony Time-lapse

On Sunday 22nd March 2015, the University of Leicester bid farewell to the mortal remains of Kind Richard III during a public ceremony. This time-lapse video captures the event in its entirety including the arrival of the media and members of the public, the ceremony itself where the coffin was revealed for the very first time, and the cortege leaving the University campus. Upon leaving the University, the Richard embarked on his final journey around the county and city before the University of Leicester’s Dr Richard Buckley OBE, lead archaeologist on the project, officially handed care of his remains over to the Cathedral.
